The FDA announced it has lifted the partial clinical hold on Epizyme’s ($EPZM) tazemetostat clinical trials. Tazemetostat is being assessed in non-Hodgkin lymphoma patients carrying the FL EZH2-activating mutation. The CRL was originally given when it was reported an enrolled patient had developed a secondary lymphoma. The CRL stated to ensure more accurate exclusion criteria for patient recruitment, Epizyme needed to improve the trial’s study protocols and investigator brochures. Shares were up over 25% after the news broke.
