Proteostasis Reports Positive Early-Stage Data on Cystic Fibrosis Candidates

In response to a positive early stage study assessing early stage candidates for treating patients with cystic fibrosis, Proteostasis ($PTI) shares rose over 400%. When used in a doublet therapy, candidates PTI-1801 and PTI-808 significantly increased lung function and decreased sweat chloride concentration in patients. Proteostasis still has to report data for another study assessing a triplet combination, which will be even more scrutinized, as the triplet combination will be compared to the Vertex Pharmaceutical’s multibillion billion triplets candidates.
